Refund Policy
Last updated: August 1, 2026
Bad refund policies are infuriating. We never want you to feel that way, so ours is simple: if something is wrong with what we delivered, we will put it right.
Our starting point
A takeoff is work performed to order, not a product off a shelf, so this policy is built around correcting the work first. In practice almost every issue is resolved by fixing and redelivering the takeoff, quickly and at no charge.
If a correction genuinely will not solve the problem, talk to us. We would rather sort it out than have you feel cheated.
Errors in a delivered takeoff
If you find a material error, email us within 7 days of delivery with your order reference and the specific line items in question.
We will review it and, where the error is ours, correct and redeliver at no charge. This is the primary remedy under our Terms.
If the error is material, we cannot correct it in time to be useful for your bid, and you have not already relied on the takeoff, we will refund what you paid for it.
Full refunds we would grant
You were charged twice for the same order, or charged for an order you did not place.
You cancelled a made-to-order takeoff before we started work on it.
An instant-download file is corrupt, unreadable, or does not match what the listing described, and we cannot supply a working version.
We failed to deliver by a firm deadline we had confirmed in writing, and the deliverable is no longer useful to you as a result.
Partial refunds and credits we would grant
You cancel a made-to-order takeoff after we have started. We keep the portion covering work already performed and refund the rest.
We delivered part of an agreed scope but not all of it. You pay for the part delivered.
We were significantly late without having warned you, and that lateness reduced the value of the work.
When we would not refund
You downloaded an instant-download takeoff and it is accurate and as described — you simply changed your mind or did not win the bid. Bid outcomes depend on many factors outside a takeoff.
The quantities are correct against the documents you supplied, but those documents were superseded by an addendum you did not send us.
You asked us to change the scope after work had started and the additional work was quoted and accepted.
The request comes long after delivery and the takeoff has already been used to bid or buy materials.
How to claim
Email info@qtoexpert.com with your order reference and a description of the problem. A person will read it.
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, normally within 5-10 business days depending on your bank.
Anything on the edges comes down to a case-by-case conversation. Tell us what happened and we will work with you.
